About Us
Fences Designed to Exclude Mammalian PestsXcluder® designs and builds fences that are able to exclude all mammalian pests found in New Zealand and in a range of international locations (from the size of juvenile mice to deer). Several years of scientific trials and over 10 years of testing in the field have shown categorically that Xcluder® fences are effective at excluding all target pests - pests do not climb over, dig under, or get through our fences, except as a result of nature induced damage, human error or inadequate fence maintenance. See our Research page for more detail on the research behind Xcluder® fences. The Xcluder® Pest Proof Fencing Company is a wholly New Zealand owned business, with passionate and committed directors, shareholders and staff. The Xcluder team has the ecological, biological, engineering, construction and practical fencing expertise and experience to ensure that scientifically proven, high quality pest proof fences are always built to exceed the wide range of physical and animal challenges they encounter. Our team thrives on the wide variety and nature of projects and challenges we get to help solve for our customers. Most of our team are people of the land, coupling excellent knowledge and training with practical know-how and a passion for the outdoors. Our current General Manager, Dr Tim Day, has guided all of the animal research behind Xcluder fence designs and manages a range of Xcluder projects to ensure pest exclusion standards are achieved. George Calvert is Xcluder’s Fencing Manager, and has been integral to the ‘on-the-ground’ development of Xcluder® fences since their inception. George manages a pool of highly experienced fencers with a range of skills suited to varied construction needs. Tim and George have been testing and building pest exclusion fences since 1997 and are always ready to share their expertise with new and existing customers. For each animal exclusion situation we gather the most appropriate group of experts to assess the options and suggest solutions. For many projects we make use of strong partnerships with a range of complementary businesses and contractors. PartnershipsXcluder® have formed close working partnerships with a number of businesses providing complimentary services for Xcluder® and our clients: Barakat Contractors - Barakat Contractors Ltd is a family owned and operated business.
